British seminars

Philip Gamble, a noted and established authority on all matters relating to British nationality, travels to East and Southern Africa regularly to present seminars on British nationality and UK immigration. The seminars are free to attend and are always given to capacity audiences.

What the seminars are about

These seminars are aimed at informing and assisting people who may be unaware of their (or their children’s) rights to British nationality and a British passport. We discuss the anomalies surrounding former British territories and help attendees to discover their options for attaining British nationality.

We cover four main subjects:

  • Children under 18
  • Claiming a British passport
  • Relocation to the UK
  • Citizenship by investment

Philip Gamble is the main presenter. He is widely regarded as the world’s leading authority on British nationality. Up until 1992, he worked with the Home Office's Nationality Directorate. He now heads up the British citizenship and UK immigration divisions of Sable International.

Why you should attend

From our experience, these seminars should interest you if you have a family link (a child, you, a parent or a grandparent) with the UK, Ireland, a former British territory or those with Indian or Arabian heritage. In addition, we discuss solutions that cover adoption, illegitimacy, marriages and children under 18.

Future seminars

Philip Gamble and his team visit Eastern and Southern Africa every year.

The venues for these seminars include:

  • Kenya and Tanzania: Nairobi, Mombasa and Dar es Salam

  • South Africa: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Pietermaritzburg, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town

  • Other cities in Southern Africa: Harare, Bulawayo, Lusaka, Gaborone and Windhoek

You can register your interest in attending future seminars and we’ll let you know well in advance of when these will take place.

Children under 18

There are special provisions in British nationality law allowing children under 18 to be registered as British citizens and claim British citizenship. This must happen before they turn 18. In addition, we present solutions for children to study in the UK and to naturalise as British citizens after a period of residency.

You or your children might qualify for a second passport – without realising it. If you have a UK-born grandparent or if you (or a parent or grandparent) was born in a former British territory, then you could have a successful claim.

We present ways in which you and your family can relocate to the UK or Australia. We will cover all the different types of visas available.
