Send money internationally the easy way

Andrew grew up in South Africa, where he was schooled at Michaelhouse after which he completed his education at the University of Stellenbosch.

He served as an officer in the South African Navy before completing his management training with the McCarthy Group.

He established a company that facilitated the investment of UK client money into the emerging South African property market. He successfully sold his interests before being appointed to head up Sable International's forex team.

Andrew is a keen sailor who has competed internationally and spends many weekends away either sailing or enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two children.

Tim has 25 years of work experience, including at the likes of Price Waterhouse Coopers, Combined Motor Holdings, BoE, Ernst & Young, JD Edwards in South Africa, Deutsche Bank and 1^st Contact Forex in London.

He started an online forex business in London before returning to South Africa. He then joined FX Capital, growing the business to annual trade in excess of R4 billion per annum.

In 2017, FX Capital merged with Sable International and Tim is now the director of Sable International’s South African forex business.

On weekends, Tim enjoys climbing mountains with his wife and two sons.

Sebastian completed his BComm (Hons) degree in Financial Risk Management at Stellenbosch University. With a keen interest in trading, he joined the forex team at Sable International.

Sebastian’s ambitious nature saw him climb the ranks from Broker to Senior Broker and later as a Forex Broker Manager. He has since shifted his focus to risk management, with a personal interest in the technological development in the crypto sphere.

In 2019, he obtained the FRM certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He then moved into a Risk and Hedging Specialist role at Sable International.

Sebastian is passionate about hiking, trail running and photography. He often spends weekends exploring the expansive mountain ranges in and around the Cape Peninsula.

Shelley matriculated in Johannesburg and attended UNISA where she studied English and history of art and obtained a diploma in photo journalism.

After spending two years living and working in London, she joined Standard Bank in South Africa where she worked for over 20 years in various roles in global financial institutions and correspondent banking.

Shelley is the compliance officer at Sable International and is responsible for the implementation of anti-money laundering measures.

She loves belly dancing, hiking, swimming in the ocean and exploring the countryside.

Keane was born and raised in Durban but moved to Cape Town to study finance at UCT after high school.

Justin studied at Stellenbosch University; attaining a BA in Geo Environmental studies and a Bcom Hons in Public Development Management.

Before joining Sable International, Justin worked as a junior development economist specialising in market research focusing on property and agriculture. 

He is currently a member of the global forex team, assisting clients with all their forex needs as a dealer

In his personal life, Justin enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming and a good book.

Born in KwaZulu-Natal and raised in Gauteng, he attended Cornwall Hill College before earning a BCom in Financial Management from Varsity College. He has also completed the SAIFM Registered Persons Exams in Forex, Derivatives, Equities and Bonds.

Michael is passionate about delivering excellent service and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where he can continue to develop his expertise in global markets. He joins Sable International's Global forex team, bringing energy, ambition and a strong commitment to continuous growth and learning.

Outside the office, you’ll likely find him with a book in hand, on a fishing trip, or staying active on the tennis or padel court — and occasionally sprinting across a football field.

Rochelle is a foreign exchange professional originally from Durban and now based in Cape Town. She began her career as a Foreign Exchange Teller and has developed a well-rounded understanding of the industry through hands-on experience. She holds her RE5 certification, along with qualifications in skills development and online teaching.

After nine years with Sable International, she returned to the company as an FX Dealer in the Global Forex Department, where she continues to build her expertise in market navigation and client service.

Outside of work, Rochelle values resilience, meaningful connections, and enjoys time with her family and her pets, Gabby and Koko.

Kylie is Cape Town born and raised. She studied Office Management and Technology and then did short courses in HR Management and Property Management. She previously worked at 1C in the Tax Team many moons ago. She has 12 years of experience in the real estate, property management and short-term rental industry (predominantly managing Airbnb properties).

In her free time she spends time with her friends, family or on her own with a cheeky pup on a stroll on the greenbelt.

Charmaine has 20 years’ banking experience, where she specialised in foreign exchange, international banking and trade finance. She is currently employed as a Forex Dealer, and she manages the forex requirements of a portfolio of corporate clients, private individuals and brokers.

Charmaine has a National Diploma NQF6 in Financial Markets and Instruments (Academy of Financial Markets), a Diploma in Treasury Management and Trade Finance (Institute of Bankers), and a Certificate in Marketing (RAU University).

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling. She also plays social golf and enjoys swimming the Midmar Mile with her husband and teenage daughter.

Carey grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK in 2012, embracing the opportunities and challenges of a new country.

Her journey at Sable International began in the foreign exchange department, where she spent over a decade refining her expertise in financial services. Driven by a desire for fresh challenges, she transitioned internally to the esteemed Sable Business Immigration team. Today, she assists businesses in navigating the complexities of immigration law and all aspects of corporate immigration.

Outside of work, she has a young family and a great love for travel, always seeking to experience new cultures whenever possible.

Brenda has been an Exchange Control & Client Adviser in the Durban Office since March 2016. She has 25 years’ experience in project management and business management, in the event organising and office design industries. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and Industrial Psychology at UKZN.

She specifically deals with the private individual clients and particularly enjoys the more challenging situations where the client is struggling to find a realistic solution to their offshore transfer requirements. Brenda also deals with inheritance payments, financial emigration and SARS tax clearances.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her three children.

Tanja, born and raised in Cape Town's southern suburbs, holds a BA and Law degree from Stellenbosch University. After an eleven-year legal career, she shifted to business development, including time at Hollard Court Bonds. Now a Business Development Executive at Sable International, Tanja thrives on connecting with clients and driving growth.

A fitness enthusiast, Tanja enjoys family time, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and building connections. Her energy, positivity, and approachable nature make her a valued professional in her field.

Lynn was born and bred in George along the beautiful Garden Route. She has travelled extensively and has lived in Israel, the United Kingdom and Turkey. After she obtained a Certificate in Banking with Milpark Business School, she gained 18 years of banking experience at FNB George, Knysna and Tokai.

Lynn loves travelling, hiking, going to the gym and spending time with her family, especially her grown-up son. She joined Sable International from FX Capital as part of the merger between the two companies. She is currently employed as Policy Claims & Encashment Specialist in Sable International's South African Forex department.

Teri-Anne has 18 years of work experience.

She has previously worked at ABSA and at an immigration firm where she held the position of Key Account manager for private and corporate clients and ran the operations for the Namibian branch.

Before moving into the Forex Dealer role, she was a client relations consultant in the same forex team.

Teri-Anne enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. 

Kayla was born and raised in Cape Town. She attended Damelin College where she obtained her diploma in business management. She is currently in her final year, studying BCom at UNISA.

She has previously worked as an investment reporting administrator. She joined Sable international in 2021 as a Forex Administrator, and is now an Exchange Control & Client Adviser, where she assists with opening and monitoring new client accounts.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors with family and friends.

Colleen was employed as an office manager within the building/insurance industry for over 17 years. 

She began her Sable International tenure as part of the South African Forex division and now specialises in deceased estates. 

She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Laurinda was born and raised in Cape Town. After completing high school she studied NQF Level 5 at Northlink College. She has 10 years of combined experience in customer services, emigration and foreign exchange.

She is the Forex Support & Settlements - Team Lead in Sable International's South African Forex department where she assists with the onboarding, account opening as well as cross-border and local payments.

Outside of work she likes to binge watch series and loves spending time outdoors and travelling.

Mishka matriculated in 2006 and holds an NQF5 qualification. She went straight into the finance world after her studies where she spent 14 years. Prior to joining Sable International she worked for a small engineering company for just under two years.

Her current role at Sable International is that of a Marketing & Customer Experience Lead.

She loves spending time with her family outdoors, especially on the beach and walking on the promenade.

Kaylee was born and raised in Cape Town, where she attended Wynberg Girls’ High School. She later earned a BSocSci degree with majors in Psychology and Law, followed by an LLB from the University of Cape Town.

After completing her studies, Kaylee began her articles of clerkship at a small law firm in Cape Town. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in April 2024 and retained as an associate. She is excited to apply her legal expertise and skills to excel in her new role.

Outside of work, Kaylee is passionate about staying active. She enjoys playing squash and watching professional tournaments, as well as lifting weights at the gym and joining spin classes. She also loves running, whether solo or with a club, and has a marathon on her bucket list. A devoted cat lover, Kaylee has three rescue cats—two orange and one tabby—who bring her great joy.

Originally from the charming town of KwaDukuza in KwaZulu-Natal, Keshini holds a BA in Psychology and Industrial Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Before joining Sable International as a Forex Administrator, she honed her skills at Exchange4free and as an Online ESL teacher.

Keshini is passionate about growing her career within Sable International and making a meaningful impact in the forex industry.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking and relaxing with her favourite TV shows.

Divania Govender was born and raised in Durban. She is a recent graduate, completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Finance and Economics at the University of KwaZulu Natal. She followed on completing her Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Finance degree at The University of KwaZulu Natal. 

She joins Sable International as an Exchange Control Support & Client Adviser in our South African Forex department in Durban.

She is a motivated and attentive individual who enjoys anything that challenges her thinking and pushes her out of my comfort zone.

Outside of work, she likes to watch series and movies, spending time with her family and friends. She also likes going on random drives exploring the country in a lot more detail. 

Jason was born and raised in Kimberley and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Free State. With five years of self-taught knowledge in the foreign exchange markets, he brings a strong foundation and keen interest in international finance to his role at Sable International.

At Sable, Jason handles foreign exchange and international payment enquiries, follows up on new business leads, and assists clients with submissions for Approved International Transfers. He also supports clients with the opening and closing of Investec bank accounts, as well as general account administration.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys staying active by playing tennis and pickleball and spending time at the gym.

Lawren is from Cape Town and matriculated in 2015 from Portland Secondary School in Mitchell's Plain.

Before starting at Sable International she worked at Old Mutual Finance for five years as a financial consultant. She is now a Forex Client Account Adviser at Sable International.

She loves summer is her favourite time of the year and she loves being in the kitchen and trying different dishes. She loves reading, watching documentaries, catching up with family and friends in her spare time and being a soccer mom on Saturdays. She also loves hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Clarissa comes from a small town in Kwa-Zulu Natal. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree at UKZN Westville and her Bachelor of Commerce Honours qualification from UNISA.

She was previously employed at Exchange4free. She is currently employed as a Forex Dealer at Sable International, where she hopes to gain a lot of experience with balance of payments and trades.

Outside of work she loves to read thriller novels, scrap book and journal. 

Gary was born and raised in Johannesburg and has also lived in Somerset West in Cape Town and Los Angeles in the USA. He has 23 years’ work experience within local and international banks focussing on international corporate and individual banking and investment platforms.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys cycling and has successfully completed twelve 947 Cycle Challenges and eight Cape Town Cycle Tours in support of The Reach for a Dream Foundation. When not cycling, he takes educational outdoor trips with his two children and three foster children.
