FAQs Commonly Asked in Zimbabwe

1. Does Sable International offer scholarships or funding?

Sable International does not provide scholarships or funding directly. However, many of our partner universities offer partial scholarships to international students, often as tuition discounts ranging from 5% to 20%. These may be merit-based or available simply for international applicants. Some universities also provide higher-value scholarships, which students can apply for independently.

2. Can I work while studying abroad?

Yes, in most countries, international students are allowed to work while studying. Typically, this means up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during breaks, though exact rules vary by country and visa type.

3. Will the school help students find a job?

Most universities offer a career or job hub where students can access job opportunities and support to explore part-time or graduate roles.

4. Are standardised tests like the SAT or IELTS compulsory?

Requirements vary by country and university. IELTS may be waived in the UK or Canada if you studied in English, SATs may be optional in the USA, and IELTS or PTE is usually required in Australia and New Zealand. Some universities accept alternative proof of English, but certain countries, like the UK, may still require IELTS for visa purposes.

    Comfort has over five years working experience in the higher education industry, working in the enrolments and customer service departments. He studied at at Monash University in South Africa earning a Bachelor of Business Science degree.

    Before joining Sable International, he worked at Unicaf University. At Sable International he will work in recruiting in prospective students and providing them with guidance, advice and the enrolment process for partner universities.

    Outside of work, Comfort enjoys jogging, cooking, baking, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

     

  • Michelle Moyo
    Admissions Officer

    Michelle Moyo , born and raised in Zimbabwe, is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor's degree in International Marketing from Chinhoyi University of Technology, earned in 2023. At 25 years old, she brings over two and a half years of experience across diverse roles, including Customer Service Officer at BancABC, Receptionist at Charter Aluminium Works, and Office Administrator at Excel Events. Through these roles, Michelle honed her skills in communication, negotiation, influence, problem-solving and time management.

    As an Admissions Officer at Sable International, she plays a pivotal role in guiding students through the admissions process. She assists students in selecting the right courses, institutions, and countries for their studies, supports them in preparing and submitting complete and accurate applications, and reviews essential documents such as transcripts, certificates, bank statements, and test scores to ensure they meet institutional requirements. Michelle also serves as a key liaison between students and institutions, ensuring clear and timely communication.

    Eager to expand her knowledge, Michelle actively engages in research and webinars to stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and colleagues, embracing her adventurous spirit and passion for learning.

    Admissions Assistant

    Christine graduated from Beijing Technology and Business University with a degree in accounting, followed by a year dedicated to studying elementary Chinese. During her time in China, she discovered her passion for teaching while working as an English language tutor.

    Before joining Sable International, Christine served as an accounts administrator at Clinics on Cloud Africa. Now, as an Admissions Officer at Sable International, she guides prospective students through their university applications, offering support and insights to help them embark on their academic journeys.

    Outside of work, Christine loves reading fiction, organising intimate events for friends and family, and exploring new dining spots.

  • Nyasha Kamba
    Study Abroad Adviser

    Nyasha, originally from Gweru, Zimbabwe, holds a degree in Sociology and Industrial Psychology from the University of Namibia and a Master’s in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the University of Zimbabwe.

    Before joining Sable International, she worked as a development practitioner, focusing on research and creating sustainable programs and curricula for underserved communities.

    At Sable International, Nyasha is dedicated to guiding and supporting students on their study journeys. Known for her attentive listening and results-oriented approach, she takes pride in providing hands-on assistance.

    In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, spending time with family, and baking.

  • Ariadne Pasipanodya
    Study Abroad Adviser

    With a deep passion for improving the lives of others, she brings empathy and a talent for listening to her role at Sable International. Particularly dedicated to the well-being and success of youth, she believes in nurturing future leaders. Having grown up in both Zimbabwe and France, she embodies a unique "je ne sais quoi" wherever she goes. She is the middle child in a close-knit family of five, with an older sister and a younger brother, each of whom she considers a best friend.

    Her educational journey spans multiple countries, including France, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands and South Africa, granting her a broad multicultural perspective and a genuine appreciation for people from diverse backgrounds. Before joining Sable International, she worked with a Branding and Marketing Solutions organisation and an International Study Abroad Consultancy. In her current role as a Study Adviser, she is dedicated to guiding students on their educational journeys, helping them shape a promising future and create meaningful memories.

    In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and baking, especially for loved ones. She also loves a good braai, traveling and embarking on road trips with friends or family. Always ready for the next adventure, she brings enthusiasm and warmth to every aspect of her life and work.
