1st Contact Relocation: Terms & Conditions

For us to assist you in making your move to the UK is a smooth as possible, please ensure that you adhere to the following terms and conditions.

  • To qualify for this service, you are required to hold a relevant visa or passport that allows you to live and work in the UK. If you are on a UK visa, you will need to have at least 6 or more months validity on it to qualify.
  • 1st Contact/Sable International works in partnership with several high street banks and is bound by their compliance requirements. Periodically banks review their account opening procedures and they can sometimes be subject to change. You must adhere to the requirements of the bank at all times. The bank will have absolute discretion to approve or reject an application for a UK bank account. Any visa holders who are issued a visa and a BRP card must be in possession of their BRP card to attend their bank appointment. If the BRP card has not been issued before your appointment, the appointment will need to be cancelled and re-booked for a later stage.
  • The various bank accounts available through our service have different fee structures and separate terms and conditions. The various bank accounts may also have different documentation and opening requirements. 1st Contact/Sable International will take reasonable steps to ensure you access your preferred bank account; however, we reserve the right to book clients into an appointment with any of our banking partners
  • To open a bank account, you will need a UK residential address. You cannot use the address of a hostel, hotel or bed and breakfast. For identification and verification purposes you will be required to meet personally with a representative at the bank to set up your personal bank account. The bank branches are all located in the central London area (City of Westminster/City of London). The UK mobile phone SIM card number allocated as part of the Package is only held for 30 days after your advised UK arrival date. After that time, 1st Contact/Sable International reserves the right to reallocate the number to another customer
  • All customers will be charged in Great British Pounds (GBP). Regardless of the currency used for payment, 1st Contact/Sable International uses a merchant/acquiring bank in the United Kingdom and this may result in your bank levying a small percentage charge on the value of the transaction. This may apply to credit or debit cards. If you are not sure please contact your card issuer for more details.
  • Purchasing a Package that includes visa and immigration services automatically opts you in to the specific terms relating to visa and immigration services 
  • The Package does not include any accommodation arrangements or bookings. Nor does it include any rent or deposit payments. If this type of service is required, please refer to our affiliate accommodation providers.
  • By opting in to share your contact details with a 1st Contact/Sable International partner who provides accommodation and job placement services, you authorize 1st Contact/Sable International to provide our partner with your contact details and our partner to contact you directly.
  • By signing these terms and conditions you agree that we have permission to share your personal information with relevant third parties such as the Banking branches, Department for Works and Pensions and any extra service you take up which requires us to share your personal details with our affiliates.
  • Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR: To enable us to discharge the services agreed under this engagement, and for other related purposes including updating and enhancing client records, analysis for management purposes and statutory returns, crime prevention and legal and regulatory compliance, we may obtain, use, process and disclose personal data about you. You have a right of access, under data protection legislation, to the personal data that we hold about you. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018, the Data Controller in relation to personal data supplied about you is Ashley Deakin.
  • We may disclose your personal data to any member of our group of companies (this means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and all its subsidiaries) insofar as we believe that their respective services will be pertinent to you.
  • We and our other group companies have offices and facilities in South Africa and Australia. The European Commission has made an "adequacy decision" with respect to the data protection laws of each of these countries. Transfers to each of these countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely the use of standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission.
