The UK working holiday or Youth Mobility Scheme visa (T5) has been a popular option for thousands of young travellers for many years. The T5 working holiday visa allows individuals from select counties between the ages of 18 and 30 to live and work in the UK for up to two years.
This is a fantastic way to experience all that the UK has to offer, as well as travel through Europe as you can enter and leave the UK at any time while your visa is valid.
To get a working holiday visa, you must:
- Hold a passport from one of the participating countries *
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30
- Have proof of funds equal to, or exceeding, £2,530.
- Not have been granted the T5 visa previously.
* The qualifying countries include Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, San Marino & Taiwan
This is an individual visa and you will not be able to bring any dependants.

Work in the UK and earn Pounds
On this Youth Mobility Scheme visa, you can work in most sectors when you get to the UK, but there are a few restrictions. Under T5 regulations, you may not work as a professional sportsperson, doctor, or dentist. You also may not access UK public funds.
