Tipping etiquette in London
When eating out in the UK it is expected that you tip your waitron. If the service was satisfactory, a normal tip is 10% of your total bill. You can tip more if you feel the service deserves it, or if you are feeling generous. Some restaurants may include a service charge on the bill, particularly when a table consists of a large dining group.
It is also common to tip hairdressers’ assistants if you are happy with their service.
